Leatha Lynn Royce, 70, of Hot Springs Village, died Thursday, June 10, 2021. Mrs. Royce was a native and a resident of Lake Village for over 35 years, having moved to Hot Springs three years ago. She was a graduate of Lake Village High School, a Hospital Clerk at Chicot Memorial Medical Center for 13 years and was the owner of Mrs. Leatha’s Daycare in McGehee for several years. Mrs. Royce was a member of the Irons Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Dibble, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Gary “Sonny” Wayne Royce in 2019; a granddaughter, Callie King and her parents, Ferrell and Gladys Knight Lynn.
She is survived by two daughters, Marie Pope and husband, Ricky, of Moore, Oklahoma, and Kacey Prince and husband, Glen, of Hot Springs; a son, Steven Royce and husband, Thomas, of Harrison; two brothers, Ricky Lynn and wife, Lealor, of Bastrop, Louisiana and Kenny Lynn and wife, Debra, of Jerome and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2021 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Garrett and Bro. Philip Payne officiating. Pallbearers are Nate King, Hunter King, David Royce, Wade Lynn, Glen Prince and Ruven Royce. A private burial will be in the Montrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72203.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home.
