Ken L. Morris Obituary

Ken L. Morris, 51, of Hamburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Baptist Health Medical Center - Drew County Hospital in Monticello.  Mr. Morris was born December 17, 1973 in Lake Village and was a lifelong resident of Hamburg.  He was a 1991 graduate of Hamburg High School where he was known for his fun personality and as the class clown. He was a member of the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance. Mr. Morris was always very active and enjoyed all outdoor sports, especially basketball, playing card games and was a domino king. He never met a stranger and loved to joke and play.  Mr. Morris had the best heart in the world and loved everyone.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Louisa McHenry; his father, Lonnie Morris; two brothers, Cleveland Sellers and Leotis McHenry.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Deborah Goolsby Morris of Little Rock; two step-daughters, Stacey Slack and Latifah Knowell; a step-son, Jamal Pridgeon; five sisters, Annie Caldwell, Hazel Richardson and her husband, Morris, and Shirley Ann Morris, all of Hamburg, Dorotha Ann Turner and her husband, Jessie, of McGehee and Martha Block and her husband, Raymond, of Dermott; seven brothers, Willie Sellers and Paul Sellers both of Hampton, Virginia, James Sellers and his wife, Janelle, of Lugoff, South Carolina, Edward Morris and his wife, Alice, and George Morris all of Hamburg, Marvin Morris and his wife, Trina, of Columbus, Missouri and Sammy Morris and his wife, Mildred, of Huntsville, Alabama and a step-grandson, who he raised and thought of as his own son, and called him "Dadda", Princeton Pugh and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance with Evangelical Donna Raino, Deacon Lawrence Tucker, Minister Margaret Green, Deacon Elbert Holt and Rev. Ephraim Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in the Childress Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Devonta Paskel, Quindarrius Brewer, Ray Caldwell, Elbert Holt, Jesse Ray William and L.V. Paskel.  Honorary pallbearers are Willie Sellers, James Sellers, Paul Sellers, Edward Morris, George Morris, Sammy Morris and Marvin Morris.
