Junior Irons, 85, of Snyder, died Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Mountain Pine. Mr. Irons was born July 9, 1939 in Dumas and was a resident of the Trafalgar Community, north of Snyder, for over 50 years. He worked for Wells Lamont in McGehee for 40 years and RBS Corporation for 16 years. Mr. Irons was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending as much time outdoors as he could. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his his wife, Adine Bates Irons in 2017; daughter, Lois Denise "Sissy" Irons in 2005; his parents, Jonathon Colvin and Lillie Bernice Simpson Irons and a sister, Lois W. Irons.
He is survived by his son, Toby Irons and his wife, Amanda, of Jerome; a brother, Jimmy Irons and his wife, Pamela, of Mountain Pine; numerous grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Sardis Baptist Church with Bro. Chance Zeigler officiating. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Irons, Sean Paden Irons, Michael Williams, Clay Smith, Colvin Irons and Aaron Jennings. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Randy Hill, Justin McDougald, Patrick Irons, Brandon Knight, Phillip Bickerstaff, Matt Rankin and the Staff of Arkansas Hospice. Memorials may be made to the Forester Historical Society, 1538 Clyde Hawkins Drive, Apt. # 8, Waldron, AR 72958.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
