June Evelyn “Mama June” Noble Hollis, 102, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the Belle View Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center in Monticello. Mrs. Hollis was born June 30, 1923 in Crossett and was a resident of Belle View Estates in Monticello for the past year, a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for 80 years and a former resident of Crossett. She was a faithful member of the North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church and a devoted homemaker to her family. Mrs. Hollis enjoyed quilting, shelling and putting up peas, cooking Sunday dinner, camping, fishing, listening to music, working in her yard, gardening, mowing and tending to her flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jonathan “Thed” Hollis in 1998; a son, Fredrick D. Hollis in 2023; a grandson, David Ray “Bubba” Hollis; two great-grandsons, Thedford Dale Hollis and Dakota Hollis; her parents, McKinnon and Sallie Gomellon Noble; five brothers, Joseph F. Noble, Robert Roy “Jack” Noble Sr., Henry McKinnon Noble, James Madison Noble and Orville Edward Noble and eight sisters, Ann Noble, Sarah Gardner, Doris Hancock, Louise Lasher, Martha Rice, Lucille Fleming, Clara Mae Clark and Hellen Pennington.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Jane Childers and her husband, Steve; two sons, Tommy Ray Hollis and his wife, Gwen, and David Lynn Hollis and his wife, Judi; a daughter-in-law, Janice Hollis, all of Hamburg; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025 at the North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathan Childers, Bryan Hollis, Seth Harry, Peyton Sadler, Van Felter and Bo Noble. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Russell, Ronnie Rodgers, Dennis Rice, Mickey McCone, Tim Menapace and Phil Pennington.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church, 1301 Mimosa Street, Crossett, AR 71635.
