Joy Wallace Nelson, 78, of Crossett, died Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in Hot Springs. Mrs. Nelson was a native and resident of Hamburg for many years, a resident of Crossett for the past five years, and a former resident of Little Rock, Bryant, and Brinkley. She worked in the retail industry for many years in Little Rock and Bryant and was a hotel receptionist. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Ida Aline Woodall Wallace; a sister, Evelyn Miller and two brothers, Gene Wallace and Raymond Wallace.
She is survived by a son, Chuck Smith of Benton; a daughter, Kimberly Joy Smith of Hot Springs Village; two brothers, Barney Wallace and wife, Martha, of Byhalia, Mississippi and Lloyd Wallace of Hamburg; a sister, Peggy DeHart and husband, Melvin, of Pine Bluff and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020, in the Promise Land Cemetery with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating.
Visitation will be 9:45 – 10 a.m., Saturday at the cemetery.
