John David Lochala, Jr., 49, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019, after struggling with complicated medical issues for the last few years. Mr. Lochala was a native of Crossett, a resident of Hot Springs for the past year, a former resident of Little Rock for many years and a former resident of Shirley and Hamburg. Mr. Lochala graduated from Shirley High School and the University of the Ozarks.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Elanda Archer Stinson; his grandparents, William James “Dub” and Shirley Cummings Lochala and Ray and Bobbie King Archer and an uncle, Bo Bowen.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, John David Lochala, Sr., and wife, Sandi, of Duncanville, Texas; his sister, Tammi Sheppeard of Bedford, Texas; his brother, Michael Richards and wife, Amy Jo, of Fairfield Bay; an aunt, Lynell Bowen of Pine Bluff; his nieces Sonny Richards, Chloe Richards, Isabel Richards; his nephews, Joshua Sheppeard, Garrett Coker, and Noah Richards; his cousins, Candi Bowen and Kerry Bowen and a host of college classmates.
Private burial was in the family plot in the Hamburg Cemetery.
