John David Higginbotham, 57, of Crossett, died Monday, January 10, 2022, at his residence in Crossett. Mr. Higginbotham was a native and resident of Crossett for most of his adult life. He was a former resident of Hamburg and a 1982 graduate of Hamburg High School. He enjoyed working on anything electronic, worked for A & E Electric in Crossett as a heating and air specialist. He was known to take apart electronics, especially computers, “reverse engineer it” and put it back together. He was very adventurous and loved being outdoors, especially spontaneous trips to Hot Springs. Recently, he gave his life to the Lord. He fought a long, hard battle, but is now at peace and rejoicing in Heaven.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Trammell; his parents, JD and Gail Bing Higginbotham both in 2020; a brother, Gary K. Higginbotham in 2007; a sister, Valerie Higginbotham in 1957 and a nephew, Zachary Seth Higginbotham in 2008.
He is survived by two brothers, Jay Higginbotham of Crossett and Eric Higginbotham of Hamburg; two nephews, Eric James Higginbotham and Gary Keith Higginbotham and wife, Chloe, and their son, Zachary Higginbotham, all of Hamburg; two step-daughters, Christy Trammell of Little Rock and Katie Earnest of Louisiana; his girlfriend, Michelle Womble Knight of Crossett; two step-grandsons and a host of cousins and other family members.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
