John Sivils

John Sivils, 41, of Wilmot, died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Mr. Sivils was a native of Bastrop, Louisiana, a resident of Wilmot for most of his life, a 1998 graduate of Kilborne High School, and a member of Omega Baptist Church. He enjoyed fixing things, and becoming a diesel mechanic and driving trucks with his Dad came naturally to him. Mr. Sivils was an outdoorsman, avid deer hunter and he had a big heart and would help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelby Mackenna Sivils; his parents, Larry and Kathy Beard Sivils, all of Wilmot; a sister, Tieche McCoy of Scott, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Portland Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Selby and Bro. Mark Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeremy Dalton, Keith Zieman, Henry Baxter, Jesse Castro, Richard Ashcraft, and Jose Atkinson. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Martin and James Mangrum. Memorials may be made to the Portland Cemetery Association, 100 Highway 160 E., Portland, AR  71663. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
