Joann Lauhon, 84, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lauhon was born November 8, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and a resident of Hamburg for over 60 years. She graduated in 1959 from Hopkins High School in Minnesota and was a devoted homemaker to her family. Mrs. Lauhon enjoyed going fishing, playing bingo, and taking casino trips, but most of all she loved holiday and family gatherings, where she could spend time with those she loved most.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Marjorie Soppland Haft; a brother, David Haft; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Jim Westrum and a brother-in-law, Mike Schutrop.
She is survived by two sons, Jackie Lauhon and his wife, Angie, and Ronnie Lauhon and his wife, Kim; a daughter, Martha Jo Collins, all of Hamburg; a sister, Joyce Schutrop of Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Zack Lauhon and his wife, Taylor, Anna Henderson and her husband, Austin, Mary Lauhon, Derek Lauhon and his wife, Leslie, Trenna Barker and her husband, Dillon, Cheyenne Clavet and her husband, Garrett, Courtney Smithey and her husband, Jamey, and Clayton Collins; 17 great-grandchildren, Laney Jo, Tylan, Creed, Barrett, Mia, Ezra, Asa, Max, Zoe, Zade, Tillman, Theo, Toliver, Braxton, Corban, Colton and Daisy; a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Callie.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2026 in the Promise Land Cemetery with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Zack Lauhon, Derek Lauhon, Austin Henderson, Jamey Smithey, Clayton Collins, Dillon Barker, Garrett Clavet and Layeton Bennett. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice in memory of our mother.
