Jimmy Ray Hobbs, 77, of Vilonia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at his home. Mr. Hobbs was a native of Hamburg and a former resident of Monticello and Crossett. He graduated from Hamburg High School and worked for Georgia-Pacific Corporation for many years. Before his retirement, he owned and operated a very successful industrial cleaning company, T.L.C.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Opal Brewster Hobbs; a brother, Jackie Hobbs and a sister, Florence Yates.
He is survived by his children, Tiara Robinson and husband, Tim, of Greenbrier and Johnny Hobbs and wife, Sharon, of Savannah, Georgia; his brother, Robert Hobbs, and wife, Christine, of Longview, Texas; three sisters, Lynell Bowen of Watson Chapel, Lynda Pool of Vilonia and Sue Johnson and husband, Billy, of Crossett; his special friend, Christy Rogers and her children, Austin Beale and Heather Wharton; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Robinson and wife, Ashlee, of Greenbrier, Bart Hobbs and wife, Ashley, of Texas, Jennifer Gill, and husband, Brice, of Greenbrier, Jasey Meadows and husband, Josh, of Greenbrier, Sara Hobbs and Gracie Hobbs both of Mississippi; eight grandchildren, Macie Hurley, Jackson Gill, Noah Meadows, Kristian Robinson, Parker Meadows, Aria Robinson, Dani Hobbs, and Doc Meadows. One of his biggest treasures was his Yorkie, Peaches.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2019, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kerry Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jackson Gill, Brice Gill, Deen Griffith, Jeffrey Robinson, Tim Robinson, Jerry Smith and Mark Collins. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Hobbs, Billy Johnson, Roy Frazier, Richard Collins, Joe Yates and Joe Graves.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
