Jerelene Wooten Stanley, 87, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mrs. Stanley was a native of Moro Bay, a resident of the Pine Hill Community outside of Hamburg for most of her life, and she attended Hermitage High School. Mrs. Stanley worked at Chase Bag for 15 years, Georgia-Pacific Tissue Mill for 8 years, and worked as a Cosmetologist until she was 83. She was a faithful member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, where she maintained the landscaping and was a dedicated volunteer at Trinity Reformers Unanimous. Mrs. Stanley believed in hard work and always kept herself busy. She loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed nature, gardening and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Stanley in 2014; a granddaughter, Leslee Breshears; her parents, Floyd and Ruth Sisco Wooten; a brother, Jimmy Wooten; a sister, Charlotte Wooten and a son-in-law, George Bell.
She is survived by her son, Michael Stanley and wife, Anita, of Hamburg; her daughter, Phyllis Bell of Azle, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Darren Wright and Bro. Bruce Culp officiating. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Carithers, Brandyn Brownlee, Kevin Logue, James Martin, Jason Stanley, and Easton Sinclair.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
