James Donald Henslee, 52, of Hamburg, died Saturday, August 10, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Henslee was native of Crossett, a resident of Hamburg for the past six years and a former resident of Crossett for most of his life. He was a 1990 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. Mr. Henslee worked as a Millwright for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Henslee had a great sense of humor and could easily make those around him laugh. He had the ability to make everyone he met feel special and would do anything he could to help others. Mr. Henslee loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Udell Henslee in 2009.
He is survived by a son, Jacob Henslee of Mountain Home; a daughter, Mary Beth Henslee of Flippin; his mother, Edna Youngblood Henslee; a brother, Darrell Henslee and wife, Debbie, all of Hamburg; five grandchildren, Sophia Mae Henslee, Saphira Ann Henslee, Addelynne Felkins, Liam Udell Henslee and Avery Gage Henslee and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Barfield and Danny Cason officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home, PO Box 28, Hamburg, AR 71646, to help with the funeral expenses.
