J.C. Henderson, 73, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mr. Henderson was a native of Camden, a resident of Hamburg for many years, and a former resident of Bastrop, Louisiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam Era. He attended Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, and as an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by two step-daughters, Sharon Lee Watson and Terry Ann Boykin; his parents, Rayford and Beatrice Booth Johnson; a brother, Charles Clifton Henderson; a half-brother, Carol Henderson, and a niece, Kristi Henderson.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Glenda Fleming Henderson of Hamburg; two grandchildren that he raised, Lee Bufkin of Crossett and Micky Bufkin Kinney of Hamburg; a brother, Sam Henderson and wife, Peggy, of Crossett; a half-sister, Sarah Jane Morehead of Ardmore, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the Judson Cemetery with Bro. Joey Meredith officiating.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
