Hurley Ray Berry, 86, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020, in Little Rock. Mr. Berry was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg. He was a 1952 graduate of Fountain Hill High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Berry worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for many years and was a member of the Egypt Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, running dogs, playing the guitar, and playing music with his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Ann Craig Berry, 11 days ago; his father, Jesse Sawyer Berry; his mother, Ozie Mae Gifford Berry Cooper, and a sister, Helen Noble.
He is survived by his children, Travis Berry and wife, Lisa, of Conway, Mike Berry and wife, Renee, of Hamburg and Susan Berry Cunningham and husband, David, of Benton; a sister, Norma Bailey and husband, Jim, of Hamburg; seven grandchildren, Ashton, Whitley, Madison, Bryson, Brayden, Joshua and Caleb and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020, in the Egypt Cemetery with Bro. Buddy Boykin officiating. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews, Kevin Rial, Kennon “Bo” Noble, John Craig, Reagan Craig, Phillip Craig, Mickey Craig, Stan Craig, Tony Craig, Bobby Rainey, Jerry Rainey, Jeff Rainey, Andy Rainey, Terry Livingston, and Ronnie Livingston. Visitation will be 9:45-10 a.m., Saturday at the cemetery.
