Hazel Rotton, 89, of Portland, died Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi. Mrs. Rotton was a native of Pine Bluff, a resident of Portland for over 50 years, a homemaker and she attended the Montrose Baptist Church. Mrs. Rotton enjoyed going to gospel concerts, attending IOP in Lake Village, working in her vegetable garden and Word Find puzzle books. Mrs. Rotton never met a stranger, always had a smile on her face and was loved by many. She loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Curtis Rotton in 2013; a son, Roy H. Rotton in March of this year; two grandchildren, Angela Elaine Rotton and Jason Scott Rotton; her parents, Henry Frank & Agnes Jones Mosby and three brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Curtis Rotton and wife, Linda, of Lake Village and Joel T. Rotton and wife, Shirley, of Parkdale; a daughter, Cathy Williamson and husband, Dewel, of Hamburg; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Lawson of Portland; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Rotton, Christopher Rotton and wife, Hillary, Derik Williamson and wife, Jessica, John Curtis Williamson, Shirley Phillips and husband, Tony, Cynthia Everett, Matthew Lawson and wife, Tina, and Tabitha Ellis and husband, Brad and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Montrose Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kenneth Rotton, Christopher Rotton, Derik Williamson, J.C. Williamson, Matthew Lawson and Jerry Rotton. Memorials may be made to the Montrose Baptist Church, PO Box 275, Montrose, AR 71658.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
