Gerald R. "Jerry" Miller Obituary

Gerald R. "Jerry" Miller, 57, of Hamburg, died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his residence.  Mr. Miller was born in Buffalo, New York, a resident of Hamburg for the past six years, a former resident of Crossett for over 20 years and a former resident of Clarksville, Tennessee for many years.  He was a 1984 graduate of Lincoln Academy in New Castle, Maine and he was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division, having honorably served during Desert Storm. He worked as a Master Tech with the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 17 years.  Mr. Miller was known for being a hard worker and having a strong work ethic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his Ibanez Guitar.  Mr. Miller loved his family and would spend as much time with them as he could.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Priscilla Darbee Miller.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Misty Melton Miller of Hamburg; a son, Gerald D. Miller of Camden; a step-daughter, Melissa Chappell of McGehee; his father and step-mother, Gerald Q. and Sandra Miller; a brother, Jon Bolduc and wife, Shannon, all of Casco, Maine and a step-grandson, David Lopez-Chappell.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2024, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jared Conatser officiating.  Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Nick Huff, Mitchell Housewright, Carl Brown, David Sims and Steve Weaver.  Honorary pallbearers are Gerald D. Miller and Gerald Q. Miller.  Memorials may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY  10306. 

Visitation will be  5 - 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
