Obituary
Freddy R. McNeil, 67, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at his residence. Mr. McNeil was a native of Lake Village and a lifelong resident of Hamburg. He retired in 2018 after working as a mechanic for the Ashley County Road Department for over 25 years. Mr. McNeil was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, a very social person, and enjoyed singing at other churches, fishing, and Razorback sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Freddy Wetzler and JoAnn Kelley.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wanda Fairchild McNeil; a son, Kevin McNeil, both of Hamburg; three daughters, Christina Brock of Ward, Stephanie Smith of Hamburg, and Brandy Hernandez of West Monroe, Louisiana; two brothers, Joey McNeil of Paragould and Danny McNeil and wife, Debbie, of Monticello; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Southside Baptist Church with Bro. David Newberry officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are McKenzie Hernandez, Mikalah Hernandez, Peyton Kelley, Ty Kelley, Mason McNeil, Nick McNeil, and Ty Powell. Honorary pallbearers are Shelda Ray and Dylan Brock.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
