Faith Lynatte White Nowlin, 79, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Nowlin was born in Crossett on August 7, 1944, to Ashton and Edith Doss White. She was a 1962 graduate of Crossett High School, and in 1965, she received her Registered Nursing Degree. During her career, Mrs. Nowlin worked for hospitals in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Chicago, Illinois. She met John Thomas Nowlin while finishing her nursing training in Little Rock, and they were married on June 24, 1966. After her husband completed his pharmacy degree, they moved to their home in the CrossRoad Community in 1973. Mrs. Nowlin was highly intelligent and had many hobbies, including her beloved genealogy research. She burned up many copy machines until her friends from Louisiana helped her start a printing company in 1990, Nowlin Printing, Inc. She was a wonderful mother to Sherri, Jay, and Phillip. She bought one of the first Apple computers to help Phillip on his autism journey. She encouraged him to keep growing even when the doctors said it wasn’t possible. She never gave up on anyone. Mrs. Nowlin gave her life to Jesus at a young age and was a faithful member and Church Clerk for many years at CrossRoad Missionary Baptist Church. She was a kind and generous friend who bought groceries, clothes and donated to so many over the years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Thomas Nowlin in 2022; a precious unborn baby girl in 1967; her parents; an infant sister, Linda Kay White; three brothers, Reginald Dean White, Donald Lane White, and Dale Wade White.
