Evelyn Clotine Keen

Evelyn Clotine Keen, 97, of Benton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton.  Mrs. Keen was born July 3, 1928 in Monticello, was a resident of Benton for the past ten years, a resident of Crossett for over 40 years and a former resident of Hamburg for many years. She lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to God, steadfast love for her family and a quiet strength that reflected her deep trust in the Lord. Mrs. Keen was a loving homemaker for her family and a devoted member of Christ Church in Little Rock. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family who were her greatest joy in life.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William H. Keen; two daughters, Glenda Ann Doss Evans and Marilyn Joyce Doss Carpenter; her parents, Alfred and Bernice Ferguson LaGrone and a sister, Dorothy Sue LaGrone Booth.

She is survived by a son, Gerald Doss of Crossett; a daughter, Vickie Keen Carlton of Benton; seven grandchildren, Monica Morgan, Bill Morgan and his wife, Carla, Tim Anderson and his wife, Stephanie, William Carpenter, Melanie Hutchison and her husband, Andrew, Christopher Knight and his wife, Princess and Jacob Carlton and his fiancée, Kelsey Pawelek; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and her loving memory is in the hearts of all, including many nieces and nephews.

While her passing is mourned, her family rejoices in the confidence that she has been welcomed into the presence of the Lord she loved and served so faithfully. Her legacy of faith continues to live on in the generations she nurtured, and her life stands as a witness to a God-honoring journey well lived.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in the Lone Sassafras Cemetery with Bro. Sean Dudley officiating. 

Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m., Tuesday at the cemetery.
