Ethel M. Woods Obituary

Ethel M. Woods, 83, of Hamburg, died Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Nightingale at Crossett.  Mrs. Woods was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg.  She enjoyed the fellowship of her friends and church families of both Martinville Baptist Church and Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert Woods in 2000; a daughter, Charlotte Woods in 2015; her parents, Andrew and Evangeline McCurdy Kelley; a brother, Harrol Lee Kelley and a sister, Barbara Kelley Land.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Woods and wife, Pam, of Valley Grande, Alabama and Neal Woods and wife, Penny, of Hamburg; a daughter, Debra Woods of Ingleside, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Kelley of California; eight grandchildren, Samantha Muro, Ashley Woods, Jessie N. Woods, Bobby Woods, Christina Woods, Steven Woods, Summer Carrier and Haley-Jo Cox; a step-granddaughter, Jessi Griffith; 10 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews that include Charles Bolin and special friend, Carol Rickman, who often visited Mrs Woods and brought fish and other gifts.

The family would like to thank all of the staff and special friends at Nightingale at Crossett Senior Living Center for all the love and special care shown to our mother.

Graveside services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in the Old Union Cemetery with Bro. Clayton Hales officiating.  

 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
