Erma Jean Murphy, 71, of Crossett, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her son’s residence. Mrs. Murphy was a native of Lamison, Alabama; a resident of Crossett for the past six months and a former resident of Thomasville, Alabama for most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of the Round Hill Baptist Church in Thomasville, Alabama where she was active with the Women on a Mission. She enjoyed going to church, quilting and sewing. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Murphy; a son, Timmy Anders; her parents, James and Bonnie Flowers Harvell and a brother, Charles Alvin Harvell.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie Anders, Jr. and wife, Amy, of Crossett, and Daniel Anders of Oak Grove, Louisiana; two sisters, Melanie Sanders of Thomaston, Alabama and Bonnie Joyce Gibson of Thomasville, Alabama; two brothers, James Otis Harvell, Jr., of Lamison, Alabama and Donald Harvell of Nicholesville, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 2 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 in the Goose Creek Cemetery in Lamison, Alabama.
