Eric Stone

Eric Stone, 42, of Bentonville, died Friday, November 21, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Stone was a native of Hamburg, a resident of Bentonville for over five years and a former resident of Hamburg and Strong. He was a 2002 graduate of Hamburg High School and worked as a Carpenter and Floor installer. Eric was an amazing musician and could play just about any instrument including the guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and the mandolin. He often played in a band and at one time, had his own band.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Browning Stone, III; his maternal grandfather, Mack "Cotton" Tomerlin and his paternal grandmother, Rita Stone Grote.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Tomerlin Stone Brodie; his step father, Michael Brodie; both of Hamburg; a brother, Brandon Browning Stone of Colorado; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Streeter Tomerlin, of Hamburg and a host of cousins and other family members.

A chapel service will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 28, 2025, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Judson Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brandon Borden, Matt Benson, Dusty Johnson, Cannon Boykin, Aaron Lowry and Matt Burdan. Honorary pallbearers are Albert Mills and Brian Merriweather. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX  75284-0692. 

Visitation will be 9 - 10 a.m., Friday in the funeral home chapel.
