Obituary

Mrs. Elese White, 90, of Hamburg, died Saturday, August 27, 2022, at her residence.  Mrs. White was a native and a lifelong resident of Hamburg and a 1950 graduate of Hamburg High School.  She worked at the Veterans Service Office with the Selective Service System for 21 years and the Ashley County Social Services for 20 years.  She was a member of the Hamburg First United Methodist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Mitchel White, Jr. in 2015; a son, Mitchel White, III in 2019 and her parents, Jessie W. and Ollie Bee Allison Morman.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean White of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Heather Franks of Little Rock, Michele McCutcheon of Anaheim, California, Sarah Slay of Fayetteville, and Sawyer White of Bossier City, Louisiana and five great-grandchildren, Noah McCutcheon, Christian McCutcheon, both of Fayetteville, Evan Nasr of Anaheim, California, Josiah Snipes of Austin, Arkansas and Zachary Franks of Little Rock, special friends, Steve and Debbie DeLuna of Cabot.

A private burial was held Sunday, August 28, 2022, in the Cleveland Cemetery.  A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Hamburg First United Methodist Church, 202 S. Main Street, Hamburg, AR  71646.
