E. Ronnie Miller, 81, of Hamburg, died Friday, October 20, 2023, at his home. Mr. Miller was a native of Conway County, a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for the past eight years, and a former resident of Warren for over 40 years. After he graduated from Plumerville High School in 1960, he worked construction, was a farmer and for a few years worked for McGehee Monument Company. For the past several years, he helped in the Triple M Farm U-Pick Garden. Mr. Miller was a faithful church member at the Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. He lived life to the fullest, enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music, deer hunting, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville G. and Lodis Self Miller; two brothers, his twin, Donnie Miller and Larry Miller and a sister, Diana Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Simmons Miller; a step-daughter, Teresa Meeks and husband, James Robert, all of Hamburg; a sister, Sharon Charton and husband, Jim; two brothers, Dwayne Miller and Jimmy Miller and wife, Charlene, all of Plumerville; three grandchildren, Shannon Fox and husband, John, Jamie Meeks and wife, Ashley, and Nicholas Meeks all of Hamburg and four great-grandchildren, Xander, Ezekiel, Zoe and Obadiah.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bob Haygood, Jim Haygood, Gary Haygood, Pat Allison, Tony McMillan and John Fox.
Visitation will be 1 – 2 p.m., Sunday at the church.
