Donna Sue Dumas, 80, of Hamburg, died Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Dumas was born June 28, 1945 in Palo Alto, California. She was a resident of Hamburg for more than 60 years and was a former resident of Monticello and Palo Alto, California. Mrs. Dumas was a 1963 graduate of Hamburg High School and a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church where she participated in the Southside Ladies and Secret Sisters. She was a devoted homemaker and well known as an excellent cook, especially her apple cakes. Mrs. Dumas was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and helped to raise many children outside of her own.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John F. Dumas, Sr. in 2021; a son, Kevin Bradley Dumas; her parents, John Madison and Willie Francis Kelley; three brothers, John Milton Crews, Melvin Benson and David Fambrough; one sister, Marion Stamper; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Gladys Selby.
She is survived by her two sons, John F. Dumas, Jr., and his wife, Missy, of Crossett and Stephen Dumas and his wife, Lori, of Hamburg; a brother, Robert Kelley; three sisters, Joyce Watts, Jackie Beaty and Pam Benson; seven grandchildren, William O'Steen, Sydney Dumas, Jenna Dumas, Kristen O'Steen, Shawna O'Steen, Hannah Dumas and Kelsey Courson and her husband, Garrett; three great-grandchildren, Luke O'Fallon, Hudson Henry and Malleighn Reynolds and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Southside Baptist Church with Bro. Glen Hutchison officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Mills, Keith Selby, Chuck Dumas, Justin Mills, Bill Kelley and Brandon Kelley. Memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
