Memorial services are 10 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel for Don H. Horn, 79, and Sandra Jean Horn, 71, both of Eudora. Mr. Don Horn died Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway and Mrs. Sandra Jean Horn died Sunday, December 26, 2021, in Lake Village.
Mr. Horn was born November 12, 1945, in Chicot County and was a lifelong resident of Eudora. He farmed with his brothers at Horn Brothers Farms for over 20 years and he worked for the gas company in Eudora for several years. Mr. Horn was a member of many hunting clubs in and around Ashley and Chicot counties and enjoyed hunting with his close friend, Bobby Joe Gwin and playing dominoes. He was a very likeable person, he never met a stranger and got along with everyone.
Mrs. Horn was born April 12, 1950, in Caddo Gap and was a resident of Eudora for many years. She married Don H. Horn on February 18, 1968, in Lake Village. Mrs. Horn was a homemaker, loved animals, and loved spending time with her daughter, Donita.
Mr. Horn is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Jean Cockrell Horn in 2021; his daughter, Donita Jean Horn in 2014; his parents, Harley and Thurma Mae Curtis Horn; two brothers, James Horn and Dwayne A. Horn, Sr. and a sister, Emma Louise Warren.
Mrs. Horn was preceded in death by her daughter, Donita Jean Horn in 2014 and her parents, Marion Cockrell and Bea Hatch Wright.
Mr. Horn is survived by three brothers-in-law, Bobby Wright and Ronnie Wright both of Hamburg and David Wright of Louden, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Donnie Sue Horn of Eudora and Becky Caudell of Truman; his close friend and caregiver, Vikki Hosak of Eudora; his beagle, Abby, and a host of nieces, nephews and lots of friends.
Mrs. Horn was survived by her husband of 54 years, Don H. Horn of Eudora; a sister, Becky Caudell of Lake Village; three brothers, Bobby Wright, and Ronnie Wright, both of Hamburg, and David Wright of Louden, Tennessee; two special nieces, Stephanie Fuel and Elizabeth Mauldin of Lake Village; and host of other nieces and nephews.
Bro. Ron Ritter will be officiating and inurnment of their ashes will be in the Snyder Cemetery.
