Dennis Ray Rickman, 73, of Crossett, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Rickman was born July 6, 1952 in Monticello, was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a 1970 graduate of Crossett High School. He worked as a Machine Operator at the Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill for 32 years and was a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church. Mr. Rickman enjoyed raising Cur hunting dogs and Quarter Horses, but above all, he loved his family and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Elijah and Ruby Lavern Sanderlin Rickman and a brother, Steve Douglas Listar.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife for 49 1/2 years, Carol Denese Carter Rickman; two sons, David Bradley Rickman and his wife, Traci, all of Crossett and Dr. Robert Todd Rickman and his wife, Dawn, of Shreveport, Louisiana and six grandchildren, Courtney, Brady, Mia, Sidney, Katherine and Robert.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the North Crossett Baptist Church with Bro. Dalton Keith, Bro. Joel Whittington, Bro. Keith Martin and Bro. Robin Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry Josey, Gary Josey, Mike Roberts, Tony Blann, Ronnie Rickman, and Tod Rice. Honorary pallbearers are Alan Swan, Owen Williams, Hubert Knight and Dennis Rice. Memorials may be made to the North Crossett First Baptist Church Golden Hearts, 1035 HWY 133 N., Crossett, AR 71635.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
