Della Zene Hale Ogden, 91, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Ogden was a native of Drew County, a former resident of Crossett, and a resident of Hamburg for most of her life. She worked for the Hamburg Shirt Factory for over 15 years in the Cutting Department and was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Ogden enjoyed reading and working in her yard. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren, was a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and was always willing to help anyone.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Hale and Wesley “Cap” Ogden; two sons, Glen Hale and Mark Hale; a daughter, Sharon Jeffers; her parents, Albert and Ola Vell Sherion Kellum and a brother, George Kellum.
She is survived by four sisters, Elizabeth Phillips and Jean Crews, both of Hamburg, Sue Doshier and husband, Bobby, of Monticello and Jorene Walker and husband, Ronnie, of Hamburg; two brothers, Willard Kellum and wife, Lois, of Monticello and Doyle Kellum and wife, Rhonda, of Conway; two step-sons, Jackie Ogden and wife, Becky, of Camden and John Ogden and wife, Becky, of Mena; seven grandchildren, Carla, Dee Dee, Timberly, Justin, Chris, Stephen, and Amber; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Ogden and Bro. Joey Meredith officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Wade Doshier, Michael Doshier, Richard Leveritt, Chris Kellum, Bradley Leveritt, and Keaton Griffith. Honorary pallbearers are Rodger Phillips and Troy Crews. Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
