Della Slaughter, 74, of Hamburg, died Sunday, June 20, 2021. Mrs. Slaughter was a native of Lake Village and a resident of Hamburg for many years. She loved to sit in her recliner and read her bible. Mrs. Slaughter enjoyed spending time with her family and she loved to cook. She had a great sense of humor, was quick to laugh, and was known to prank people with her twin sister, Ella.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Slaughter and her daughter, Renee Johnson, both in 2016; her parents, Wilson McCrory and Siscily Slater Cecil; two brothers, Jess McCrory and Benjamin Franklin McCrory, who died in infancy.
She is survived by her twin sister, Ella Ferguson and husband, Bill, of Crossett; a brother, Roger McCrory and wife, Donna, of Basehor, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in the Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Robin Allen officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Earl McCrory, Ethan Ferguson, David Ferguson, and Evan Ferguson.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
