Cynthia Nutt Evans, 62, of Hamburg died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Evans was a native of and raised in Crossett and was a resident of Hamburg for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker, and in her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, genealogy, woodworking, and reading her Bible.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, John Eric Evans in 2011; two sons, Yousef Ray Atashkadeh in 1977 and Eric “Ricky” Evans in 2013; her father, W.R. Nutt; her mother and step-father, Claudine Johnson Huff and Buddy Huff.
She is survived by a daughter, Christy Norrell and husband, Jimmy Don; two sons, Casey Huff and Jessy Nutt all of Hamburg; a brother, Clifford Huff of Johnsville; a sister, Beverly Key and husband, John, of Crossett; three grandsons, Syler Huff, George Norrell and Daryl Norrell; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Norrell and Thomas Norrell and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carlton White officiating. A private burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
