Clarence William Kelley, 74, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Kelley was a native and lifelong resident of the Martinville Community north of Hamburg. He worked as a carpenter and handyman and was the owner and operator of his own lawn care service up until this past year. Mr. Kelley had a very strong work ethic, was known to be a hard-worker and would always find something to do. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and loved his church and church family. Mr. Kelley enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved his family but his grandchildren were his greatest joy and the center of his world.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Doris Nelson Kelley; eight brothers, Leonard Kelley, Everett Eugene Kelley, Bobbie Kelley, Ronnie Kelley, Leroy Kelley, Jack Kelley, Nelson Bartley Kelley and Michael Kelley and a sister, Evelyn Ilene Kelley Hollis.
He is survived by three daughters, Tassey Kelley Reed and husband, Michael, and Natasha Kelley Bennett, all of Hamburg and Kimmie Kelley Henson and husband, Jeffery, of Mountain View; two brothers, Henry Kelley and wife, Karen, of Valdosta, Georgia and Doyle Kelley of Hamburg; eight grandchildren, Zachary and wife, Mackenzie, Amelia and husband, Nathan, Whitney and husband, Andrew, Izaiah, Marleigh, Jocelyn, Haleigh and Rylie; three great-grandchildren, Sloan, Sage and Noah and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024 in the Flat Creek Cemetery with Rev. Jared Conatser and Rev. Joey Meredith officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Kelley, Mike Kelley, Jay Kelley, Tim Collier, Jr., and Zachary Felton.
Visitation will be 1:30 - 2 p.m., Friday at the cemetery.
