Charles Ronald Summers, 76, of Hamburg, died Thursday, May 20, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Summers was a native of Snyder, a resident of Hamburg for most of his life and a graduate of Hamburg High School. He was a truck driver for 47 years, having logged over seven million miles. Mr. Summers was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church in Crossett. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Trantham Summers in 2015; his daughter, Nicole Summers Cannon Wallace in 2016; his parents, William David Summers and Bonnie Elton Hamilton; his brother, Johnny Summers; two half-brothers, Glen Hamilton and Lamar Hamilton and two half-sisters, Debbie Hamilton and Jo Ellen Hamilton.
He is survived by his son, Mark Summers and wife, Kriss, of Hamburg; a half-brother, Steven Hamilton of Crossett; five grandchildren, Stephen Summers, Rainey Martin and husband, Matthew, Tanner Summers, Jacob Cannon and wife, Ashley, and Bailey Cannon; six great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Braeleigh, Rance, Hollyn, Bruin and Alexa and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
