Charles Ralph Hollis, Jr., 65, of Fountain Hill, died Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Hollis was a lifelong resident of Fountain Hill and a 1978 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. He was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. Mr. Hollis was an Operator for Mississippi River Transmission for several years until he became disabled. He enjoyed reading westerns, horses, hunting and fishing. Mr. Hollis loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and JoAnn Wilkerson Hollis; two sisters, Dolores Hollis Allison and Sherrie Ann Hollis Harville; a brother-in-law, Wesley Harville and a step-daughter, Jennifer Davidson.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ann Davidson Hollis of Fountain Hill; a son, Charles Cody Hollis; a daughter, Nealee Hollis Lawrence and husband, Dexter; the mother of his children, Lesia Hollis, all of Johnsville; a step-son, James Davidson and wife, Crystal, of Hamburg; two sisters, Beverly Harville and husband, Mike, of Conway and Lana Carpenter and husband, Dennis, of Fayetteville; three brothers-in-law, Paul Allison, Wayne Allen and Phillip Allen; two grandchildren, Laila Lawrence and Lex Lawrence; six step-grandchildren, Kirby Bonds, Madilyn Bonds, Macey Bonds, Houston Davidson, Harper Davidson and Colton Pippen; two step-great-grandchildren, Stoney Bonds and Lucy Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Eden Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Titsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mitch Wardlaw, Dennis Carpenter, Tim Hollis, Terry Hollis, Mike Harville and Paul Allison. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Allen, Phillip Allen, Jerry Stanley and Andy Riels. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Cemetery Association, c/o Rita Pogue, 211 Ashley Road 467, Hamburg, AR 71646 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 11324 Arcade Drive, Little Rock, AR 72212.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
