Charles Lewis “Skip” Davey, 71, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. Mr. Davey was a native of Drew County, raised in Fountain Hill for 31 years, and has been a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for the past 40 years. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Bemis Bag Company for over 20 years and had previously worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for several years. Mr. Davey was a member of the Woodmen of the World and took great pride in maintaining the grounds at the lodge in Milo. He enjoyed riding and going on motorcycle trips, hunting, and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Hettie Kerlee Davey; a brother, Harry “Scooter” Davey in 2017; two sisters, Vera Ann Leard and Rita Roberts and a nephew, Leonard Sellers.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail Height Davey of Hamburg; a nephew Michael Cunningham and wife, Sandy, of Lacey; a niece, Debbie Sellers of Wisconsin and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are 2 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the Flat Creek Cemetery with Bro. Keith Rose officiating.
