Cesar E. Mondragon, 46, of Hamburg, died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Mondragon was a native of Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico; a resident of Hamburg for 42 years, and a 1995 graduate of Hamburg High School. Mr. Mondragon worked for the Georgia-Pacific Plywood Mill for 12 years, Bemis Bag Company, now Hood Packaging, for four years, Roadrunner Recycling, and LA Construction Group. Mr. Mondragon attended the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, had a very outgoing personality and he never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Antonio and Silvina Zuniga Mondragon, and a sister, Aida Mondragon.
He is survived by his daughter, Amani Mondragon of Hamburg; eight brothers, Isidro Mondragon and wife, Estela, of Tijuana, Mexico, Froilan Mondragon and wife, Leticia, of the Snyder Community outside of Hamburg, Genaro Mondragon and wife, Carmen, of Pine Bluff, Francisco Mondragon and wife, Candelaria, of Crossett, Hector Mondragon and wife, Antonia, Eugenio Mondragon and wife, Romelia, Jose Mondragon and wife, Ramona, all of Hamburg and Miguel Mondragon and wife, Mallory, of Little Rock; his companion, Tammy West of Hamburg and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, at 5 p.m., in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg with Father Stephen Hart as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.
