Carolyn Sue Stanley

Carolyn Sue Stanley, 78, of Hamburg, died Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her residence.  Mrs. Stanley was a native and lifelong resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg and a 1961 graduate of Fountain Hill High School.  She was a homemaker, the business manager for Stanley Brothers Livestock for over 30 years and an active member of Eden Baptist Church, where she served as Treasurer for many years.  Her life revolved around her family and she devoted herself to a life of service to her family and wanted to see them succeed.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a giver with a servants heart, was known for her cooking and delighted in preparing large meals for family and friends.

She is preceded in death by a son, Michael B. Stanley in 1988; a daughter-in-law, Sam Stanley in 2006; her parents, Harvey J. & Beulah Knight Craig; three brothers, Jerry Craig, J.H. Craig and Paul Craig and a sister, Pauline Craig Bolin.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry G. Stanley; two sons, Greg Stanley and Wendy and Mitch Stanley and wife, Penny all of Hamburg; her sister-in-law, Patsy Stanley Knight and husband, Troy Lane; four grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Shay Stanley, Boots Stanley and wife, Loren, Michael Stanley and wife, Brittany, and Patrick Stanley; four great-grandchildren, Sam, River, Morgan and Jase and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the Eden Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Wesson and Bro. J.W. Dobbins officiating.  Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Boots Stanley, Michael Stanley, Patrick Stanley, David Wesson, Doug Thurman and Mitch West.  Honorary pallbearers are Trent Knight, Keith Sistrunk, Brad Dobson, Danny Stanley, Larry Stanley and Tommy Clark. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care, 990 HWY 425 N., Monticello, AR  71655.  

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Tuesday at the church.
