Carmen Mondragon, 68, of Hamburg, died Saturday, May 22, 2021, in Little Rock. Mrs. Mondragon was a native of Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico, and a resident of Hamburg for 27 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mrs. Mondragon loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family gatherings, cooking, traveling to Mexico, and helping others in need.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Antoniano Trujillo and Teresa Chavez, two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cruz Mondragon; four sons, Antonio Mondragon, Odilon Mondragon, Fidel Mondragon and Seberino Mondragon, all of Hamburg; six daughters, Euliala Mondragon and Rosaria Mondragon both of Mexico, Maria Mondragon, Edelmira Mondragon, Griselda Mondragon and Maricruz Mondragon all of Hamburg; three brothers, Octabiano Trujillo, Manuel Trujillo and Roman Trujillo; two sisters, Silvino Trujillo and Antonia Trujillo all of Mexico; 44 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Stephen Hart as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Melchor Mondragon, Octaviano Mondragon, Cruz Mondragon, Gavino Mondragon, Adrian Mondragon and Ivan Mondragon.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rosary at 7 p.m.
