Carl "Ricky" Eastwood Obituary

Carl “Ricky” Eastwood, 71, of Crossett, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock after a short illness, surrounded by his wife and other family members. Mr. Eastwood was born in Crossett on November 20, 1951, was raised in and around Hamburg and Denham Springs, Louisiana, attending public schools in both areas. They moved away after he married his loving wife, having moved back to Crossett this past April. Mr. Eastwood was a Paper Maker with International Paper in Pine Bluff for 16 years before moving to Florence, Wisconsin, where he worked with Champion Paper for five years. For the next 20 years, he worked for Car Quest in Florence, Wisconsin and Norway, Michigan. Mr. Eastwood was a Christian and attended the Northern Light Christian Church in Wisconsin and the First Assembly of God Church in Crossett.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence Hobbs Yates; his father, Carl Eastwood; his step-parents, Evelyn Eastwood and Joe Yates and two sisters, Nancy Wilcox and JoAnn Quarles.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dolores Trotter Eastwood of Crossett; his daughter, Heather Eastwood of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three sisters, Glennis Holland and husband, Davis, of Hamburg, Bonnie Tumlison and husband, Harry Joe, of Crossett and Joyce Smith and husband, Jerry, of Monticello; four brothers, Billy Joe Yates and wife, Loretta, of Fountain Hill, Butch Yates, Joe Fred Yates and wife, Cindy, all of Hamburg and James Yates of Little Rock; his grandson, Caleb Eastwood and his great-granddaughter, London Ava Lynn, both of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and the Scott Porter family of Conway.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at the First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Kenneth Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery in Drew County. Pallbearers are Kelley Fryer, John Fryer, Vance High, Davie Holland, Deen Griffith, Keaton Griffith and Chance Griffith.  Memorials may be made to the Crossett Canine Rescue, 435 Binns Loop, Crossett, AR  71635. 

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
