Callie "Elizabeth" Brockwell

Callie "Elizabeth" Brockwell, 86, of Crossett, died August 7, 2025 at the Somerset Nightingale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. She was born September 28, 1938 in Fountain Hill, and has been a resident of Crossett for the past 65 years. Mrs. Brockwell was a 1956 graduate of Fountain Hill High School and was the Salutatorian of her graduating class and was a member of Egypt Missionary Baptist Church. She liked camping when her children were still at home and she and her husband went on many trips to Branson. Mrs. Brockwell made quilts for her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and was known to be very crafty. She would often see items in a store she liked and would purchase the materials to make it and it would look better than the store bought.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Leann Fuller in 2008; her parents, Marshal and Ellie Culp Godwin and a sister, Katherine Craig.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roy Brockwell of Crossett; her son, Mike Brockwell and his wife, Nesia, of Crossett; her sister, Betty Hales and her husband, Clayton, of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Peyton Brockwell and his wife, Jessica, Kolten Brockwell, James Carter, III and Jesse Fuller and his wife, Kathleen and four great-grandchildren, Paisley Brockwell, Everleigh Brockwell, Trisitan Lawson and Leann Grace Fuller.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Keith Rose officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Peyton Brockwell, Kolten Brockwell, James Carter, III, Jesse Fuller, Steve Craig and Kevin Craig.
