Bruce Aaron Bond Obituary

Bruce Aaron Bond, 77, a long-time resident of Lake Village, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the Baptist Health Medical Center-Drew County Hospital in Monticello. Mr. Bond was the third son born to Aaron and Edith Bond on November 4, 1947, in Ozark. While studying forestry at the University of Arkansas-Monticello (then Arkansas A & M College), Mr. Bond wed Miss Linda Pamplin of Lake Village on January 20, 1968.  They lived three years in east Texas when Mr. Bond was employed as a forester with Georgia-Pacific before returning to their home in southeast Arkansas. Mr. Bond and his family moved to the Lake Village area in 1974, where he owned and operated a family farm in Ashley and Chicot counties. Although Mr. Bond grew rice, soybean, corn, and other crops, his farming passion was cotton, and he produced 48 crops during his farming career in the Arkansas Delta. Farming was Mr. Bond’s profession and he was enthusiastic about his trade, but he will be most fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, family member, and friend. Mr. Bond was an active and committed believer who attended and served a variety of roles in Lake Village Baptist Church for 50 years. Family was a top priority for Mr. Bond, and he maintained strong relationships with many family members across the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Kimberlin and Edith Marie Hamblen Bond.

In his immediate family, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Pamplin Bond of Lake Village; children Susan Crane (Chris) of Lake Village and Jason Bond (Amanda) of Greenville, Mississippi and four grandchildren, Miranda Kelly (Casey), Makaila Book, Emory Bond, and Aaron Bond.
