Bruce Timmons, 75, of Hamburg, died Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Timmons was born March 27, 1950, in Hot Springs and was a lifelong resident of Hamburg. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1968 and continued his education at Southern Arkansas University and the University of Arkansas at Monticello, earning a degree in Business Administration. He later completed his master’s studies at the Southern Mississippi School of Banking. Mr. Timmons worked in various positions throughout his 47-year banking career, including Commercial Bank in Monticello, Bank of Parkdale, Southeast Arkansas Bank, Delta Trust, Simmons Bank, and Farmers Bank. He retired in 2021 from Southern Bancorp. Mr. Timmons was a member of the Crossett Health Foundation Board for more than 25 years and a member of Church on the Rock. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, gunsmithing, and working on firearms. Mr. Timmons also enjoyed sports and reading, but above all, he dearly loved his family.
He is preceded in death by a son, Dan Timmons in 2007 and his parents, Howard and Opal Warlick Timmons.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Connie Harris Timmons; two daughters, Bianca Timmons Courson and her husband, David, of Hamburg and Patchez Harrell and her husband, David, of Dallas, Texas; a son, Trapper Holland and his wife, Angela, of Hamburg; three brothers, Bill Timmons and his wife, Laurie, of Springdale, Benjie Timmons and his wife, Lisa, of Russellville and Bob Timmons and his wife, Shellye, of Hamburg; a sister, Betty Griffin and her husband, Bobby, of Hamburg; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary Crymes and Donald Harris; six grandchildren Kyle Canik and his wife Ariel, Daniel Timmons and his wife, Emma, Casey Smith and her husband, Jon, Taylor Land and her husband, Trent, Jaisley Holland and Brent Holland; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Cheryl Rabalais for all of the love, support and excellent care.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2025, in the Hamburg Cemetery with Pastor Bob Whiteley and Richard Byrd officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Griffin, Tony Skender, Todd Callaway, Bob Kersten, Bill Spivey, Carroll Penick and Mike Ogden. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Schools Foundation, 202 E.
