Brenda Joyce Bolin, 79, of Hamburg, died Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. Mrs. Bolin was a native of Crossett; a former resident of Blytheville for several years and resident of Hamburg for most of her life. After she attended Fountain Hill High School, she graduated from Juanita’s School of Cosmetology. She was a homemaker and volunteered at the Blytheville Nursing Home for several years. She enjoyed working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers, fishing, drinking coffee, and talking on the phone. More than anything, she loved her family, and always had a special place in her heart for her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Bolin in 2010; a son, Wayne Bolin in 1994; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Meeks Bolin in 2016; two granddaughters, Brandy Hollis Guthrie, in 2021 and Tiffany Bolin in 2019; her parents, Travis and Lena Moore Woods; a sister, Hazel Woods Bolin; two brothers, Robert Woods and Pete Woods.
She is survived by two daughters, Stacey Gulledge and fiancè, Jason Horner, of Indianola, Mississippi, and Connie Melanson and husband, Louis, of Hamburg; a son, Bryan Bolin and wife, Paige, of Hamburg; her very special niece and nephew who were like a daughter and son, Lisa Bolin Strickland and Charles Bolin; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 in the Eden Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie McDonald officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Bolin, Steve Bolin, Dax Bolin, Josh Gulledge, Gunner Gulledge, Cody Strickland, Louis Melanson, Jason Horner, Scott Strickland, Nathaniel Guthrie, Andrew Peters, Gage Amos, Zack Holthousen, Chris Chapman, Kyle Chapman, Kolton Chapman, Steven Gilbert, and Braylen Cline.
