Brandy Nichole Hollis Guthrie Obituary

Brandy Nichole Hollis Guthrie, 35, of Hamburg, died Monday, February 22, 2021, in Humble, Texas.  Brandy was a native of Fountain Hill, a resident of Humble, Texas for the past year and a former resident of Blytheville and Monticello. She was a 2003 honor graduate of Monticello High School and was baptized at Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Monticello.  Brandy’s high school years were spent on the softball field as catcher for the Lady Billies.  She was voted to be on the Homecoming Court and was a member of the Spanish and Beta Clubs and the National Honor Society.  Brandy graduated with an Associates Degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2006 and went on to become a licensed cosmetologist.  She always had a love for makeup, fashion and all the finest things.  Brandy loved to bowl, hunt, fish, golf and shop, but her favorite thing was spending time with family.  She loved her family and enjoyed spoiling her nieces, nephew and cousins every chance she had.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Glenn Hollis in 1998; her paternal grandfather, Kenneth Bolin; a special aunt, Hazel Bolin; a cousin, Tiffany Bolin; her aunt, Tammy Bolin; her uncle, Wayne Bolin and her brother-in-law, Jared Guthrie.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Nathaniel Guthrie currently of Humble, Texas; her mother, Connie Hollis Melanson and husband, Louis, of Hamburg; her sister, Ashley Hollis Holt and husband, Justin, of Benton; her grandmother, Brenda Woods Bolin of Fountain Hill a special aunt, Stacey Gulledge of Indianola and a host of family and friends.

Graveside services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in the Eden Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Hackett officiating.  Pallbearers are Brad Guthrie, Tye Guthrie, Gage Amos, Cody Strickland, Josh Gulledge and Dax Bolin.  Honorary pallbearers are Gunner Gulledge, Thomas Guthrie, Louis Melanson, Justin Holt, Jason Horner, Scott Strickland, Kyle Chapman, Kolten Chapman, Ivan Guthrie, Bryan Bolin, and Charles Bolin.
