Bonita Clifton Herrington

Bonita Clifton Herrington, 75, of Mountain View, died Friday, April 4, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Herrington was born November 19, 1949 in Paragould, was a resident of Mountain View for the past 32 years and a former resident of Bonita, Louisiana for 11 years. She was a 1967 graduate of Wilmot High School and a member of the Highway 5 Church of Christ in Mountain View. Mrs. Herrington worked as a flooring salesperson for many years, having retired in 2012. She never met a stranger, loved visiting with everyone and enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Herrington was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and L.V. Metheny Clifton.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike Herrington of Mountain View; a son, Daniel Cannon and his wife, Amanda, of Bella Vista; a daughter, Dawn Cannon of Fayetteville; two step-daughters, Emily Graves and her husband, Mike, and Andrea Harkness and her husband, Dane, all of Bastrop, Louisiana; two brothers, Darrell Clifton and Cliff Clifton; a sister, Dawna Whitehead all of Wilmot; two brothers-in-law, Spencer Herrington of Bonita, Louisiana and Hugh Herrington and his wife, Kitty, of Bastrop, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law, Betty Tullos and Cam Herrington both of Bonita, Louisiana; three grandsons, Caleb Cannon, Alexander Cannon and Asher Cannon; four step-grandchildren, Seth Allen, Tyler Herrington, Dylan Courson and Shelby Courson and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in the Wilmot Cemetery with Bro. Charles Fricke and Steve Hentz officiating. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 1:45 - 2 p.m., Tuesday at the cemetery.
