Billy Ray Corker, Sr., 91, of Peel, left this earth, heavenbound, on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. Mr. Corker was born to the union of Grover Cleveland Corker and Birdie Savage Corker on December 28, 1933, was a resident of Peel for the past 26 years and a former resident of North Carolina and Crossett. Mr. Corker was a carpenter by trade and a master cabinet maker. But more than that, his life's work was to build the Kingdom of God, a job which he devoted himself to with unending passion and dedication. He affected thousands of lives through his teaching, writing, testimonies, prayers and revelations, as he traveled across the United States for work from Arkansas to California, back to Arkansas, to North Carolina and back to Arkansas. Mr. Corker loved his family wholeheartedly and invested a great deal of energy into leading them in the ways of God and the Bible.
He is preceded in death by his faithful wife, Robbie Corker in 2014, and he treasured the memories of the life they built together every day since her passing. Also preceding him is a daughter, Derethea Milner and two precious grandchildren, Jonathan Corker and Elizabeth Corker LaFoy.
He is survived by three children, Steve Corker and his wife, Brenda, Janis Corker Weber and her husband, Toby, and Billy Ray Corker, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; a brother-in-law, Larry Johnson; eight grandchildren, Alisa Reichelt, April Easter, Jake Corker, Kara Kannard, Melody Mattson, Josiah Weber, Isabel Weber and Denise Eppinette plus numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Randy Rutledge officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Godspeed Ministries, 141 EA Bingham Road, Kings Mountain, North Carolina 28086 (www.godspeedministry.com).
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday in the funeral home chapel.
