Beulah Nan Bierbaum, 89, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Countryside Assisted Living Center. Mrs. Bierbaum was born April 15, 1936, in Wilmot and was a lifelong resident of Hamburg. She was a 1954 graduate of Hamburg High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. She dedicated over 30 years of service as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful host who loved opening her home to family and friends. She found great joy in cooking for her family and cherished spending time and traveling with her longtime friends. Affectionately known as “Nonnie” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she treasured every moment spent with her family and devoted as much time to them as she could.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Billy R. Bierbaum in 2016; two grandchildren, Jadyn Watkins and Jonathan Watkins; her parents, C.E. and Myrtle Hayden Hathaway; a sister, Imogene Hathaway and two brothers, Otto Hathaway and Elwood Hathaway.
She is survived by a son, Terry Bierbaum of Hamburg; two daughters, Pam Bierbaum Morris and her husband, Graham, of Ruston, Louisiana and Kim Bierbaum Watkins and her husband, Claude, of Burleson, Texas; six grandchildren, Michelle Williams, Brittney Lee Harrod, Brandy Yeoman and her husband, Cody, Spencer Morris, Trevor Morris and Anna Claire Morris; seven great-grandchildren, Kylee Jo Williams, Layton Williams, Walt Yeoman, Libby Yeoman, Wyatt Watkins, Grayden Harrod, Lynlee Harrod and their father, Brent Harrod and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2026 at the First Baptist Church with Cody Yeoman officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Rob Chapman, Rodney Chapman, Patrick Chapman, Kenny Bowden, Todd Callaway and Spencer Morris.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
