Barry Wayne Pearson, 51, of Crossett, died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Pearson was born June 16, 1974 in Monroe, Louisiana, was a resident of Crossett for the past nine months, a former resident of Fountain Hill and Searcy and a 1992 graduate of Searcy High School. He was known as a hardworking man, and was working as the Maintenance Supervisor at Stonegate Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Pearson was a member of Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church and gave back to his community as a volunteer firefighter and water operator for Fountain Hill. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music, and working with his hands through carpentry. Above all, he cherished being around people and never missed an opportunity to connect with others.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Douglas Pearson, Sr.; a granddaughter, Pheryn; his paternal grandparents, Frank H. & Edith Mae Pearson and his maternal grandparents, W.C. & Reba Burnett.
He is survived by a daughter, Taylor Cleaver of Searcy; two sons, Colby Pearson of Judsonia and Hayden Pearson of Fountain Hill; his mother, Linda Burnett Hollis of Crossett; two brothers, Doug Pearson and his wife, Amanda, of Fountain Hill and John William Pearson and his wife, Holly, of Hamburg; his step-children, Nyklas Glass of Judsonia and Ryleigh Holmes of Michigan; three grandchildren, Adalynn Cleaver, Micha Cleaver and Barrett Pearson and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cody Pearson, Will Pearson, Mason Pearson, Dalton Pearson, Colton Pearson and Brandon Collier. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Barnett and David South. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
