Barbara Jeanice Jordan

Barbara Jeanice Jordan, 60, of Hamburg, died Saturday, July 9, 2022. Mrs. Jordan was a native of Lancaster, Texas, a resident of Hamburg for the past 29 years, and a 1981 graduate of Lancaster High School. She was employed by the Ashley County Medical Center, where she held many jobs over the past 20 years. She was instrumental in bringing the Generations Unit to the Ashley County Medical Center and was Office Coordinator until 2020. Mrs. Jordan was of the Baptist faith and a loving and caring person. She was a devoted wife, a great mom, and an awesome grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Ray and Harleen Goodwin Burchfield.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bennie Jordan of Hamburg; two sons, Wayne Jordan and wife, Sarah, of Haskel and Jason Burchfield of Corpus Christi, Texas; two step-sons, Chris Jordan and wife, Vickie, of Bryant and David Jordan of Bastrop, Louisiana; four brothers, Ricky Burchfield and Jack Burchfield both of Avalon, Texas, Frank Burchfield of Elmo, Texas, and Ray Burchfield of Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
