Anna “Liz” Bailey Arnold, 83, of Hamburg, died Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, with her granddaughter, Crystal Moore (Michael), by her side. Mrs. Arnold was a native of Arlington, Kentucky, a resident of Battle Creek, Michigan for most of her life, and a resident of Hamburg for the past several years. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1957 and worked as a Bank Teller for the United Savers Federal Credit Union for over 20 years. Mrs. Arnold enjoyed doing the laundry for her family and was known to iron every piece of clothing for each of her children. She loved her children and grandchildren and would spend as much time as she could with them.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Edward Lee Arnold in 1999; a son, William Bennett; her parents, Willie G. and Frances Turner Bailey; a sister, Mildred Vinson and a son-in-law, Buddy Cameron.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by a daughter, Theresa Cameron of Hamburg; a son, Richard Bennett Whitebear and wife, Julie, of Oregon; a daughter-in-law, Carol Bennett of Battle Creek, Michigan; two sisters, Louise Thompsett and husband, Percy, of Ocala, Florida and Martha Hilborn of Jackson, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
