Alma McKee Bordeaux, 95, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at Conway Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bordeaux was born on September 14, 1930, in Wilmot, to Earl and Minnie “Dolly” McKee. She grew up in Wilmot, attended Arkansas A&M, and remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life, living there for 85 years and always considering it home. It was at Wilmot Baptist Church that she met the love of her life, Austin Bordeaux. They married there on June 1, 1949, and together they raised two children. For 60 years they worshiped side by side at the church that first brought them together. Mrs. Bordeaux’s strong faith in God sustained her throughout her life, and in her final days it gave her comfort and strength. She was ready for her Savior to welcome her home to a joyful reunion with loved ones who had gone before her. Mrs. Bordeaux was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. A wonderful cook, she was famous for her chicken and dumplings—no one else could quite duplicate them. She also loved her flowers and was an active member of the Wilmot Garden Club. Spunky and spirited, she could make her point with just a look. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who poured her heart into her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Bordeaux; her son, Rodney Bordeaux; her parents, Earl and Dolly McKee and her siblings, Elzie Risinger, Minnie Blocker, Sally Galler, Louis McKee, Juanita Grice, Buey McKee, Wayne McKee, and Nellie May.
She is survived by her daughter, Christy Holland, and son-in-law, Larry Holland; grandchildren, Genie Hall and Justin Holland; and great-grandchildren, Trevor and Cooper Hall and Grace, Addison, Bear, and Austyn Holland. She is also survived by her son, Byron Bordeaux, and daughter-in-law, Sherri Bordeaux; grandchildren, Brandon Wallace, John Bordeaux, and Caitlyn Graber; great-grandchild, Cameron Wallace and many other dear relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026 in the Wilmot Cemetery with Bro. Philip Bowles officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Hall, Trevor Hall, John Bordeaux, Andrew Graber, Bill Galler, Cooper Hall, Justin Holland, Dennis McKee, Bernard Blocker, Douglas Risinger and Wayne McKee. Memorials may be made to the Wilmot Cemetery Association, PO Box 160, Wilmot, AR 71676.
Visitation will be 2 - 3 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
